However, there is significant cooler temperature in Anjouan and other central regions of island as compared to coasts.

Getting in and around
In certain parts of Madagascar cargo boats are primary means of transport. There are frequent boats between four Comoros Island and between Comoros and Madagascar. To hire a car you must be at least 23 years due to road hazards rental agencies hire car drivers with their own vehicles.

Almost all destinations need 4 WD. It is also possible to hire a taxi but is not much entertained. If distances are short then it can be easy to get around by foot or by bicycle.  Buses are only in major cities. Mada Bus routing in Madagascar is less expensive than other travels. Local transports are Charette, wonder car drawn by a pair of Zebu cattle, Pousee-pousse, a rickshaw seen in hordes and taxi brousses which are slow and uncomfortable; there are no trains in Comoros.
