Getting in and around
The best mode between major islands is by small local boats, hitching is common, buses have extensive and inexpensive network. Local buses are cheaper and regular. About 90% Fiji’s roads are on Viti Levu and Vanua Leva so explore by car, 4 WD or by motorcycle. Fuels are easily available, rental cars are more expensive. Taxis will be available on few islands; Fiji is well serviced by domestic airlines. Bicycles have good potential they can also be rented.
