Climate
Lebanon has a typically Mediterranean climate. There are four seasons. Summer (June to September) is hot on the coast and cooler in the mountains. Spring and autumn are warm and pleasant. Winter (December to mid March) is mostly rainy, with snow in the mountains.

Attractions
There are many tourist sites in Lebanon like Baalbeck, Tyre, Anjar, Quadisha valley, Byblos, Beirut, Sidon and many more. Some of the main attractions are the spectacular Jeita caverns and the underground waterway in Beirut, Lebanese food in the port area at Al Mina, scuba-diving and snorkelling at the ancient city of Tyre, Skiing and trekking in many mountain resorts, like Bakish, Faraya, Zarour, Faqra, Cedars etc., Gibran Museum in Besharre, Kadisha Valley, the archaeological sites of Tyre and the night life of Beirut. Generally it is advisable to book all the Lebanon airline tickets well in advance.

Getting In and Around
Beirut International Airport is the only airport in Lebanon. The national Lebanon flights , Middle East Airlines has a widespread network and services from Beirut to Europe, Australia and Middle East. Apart from it many other international airlines operate in Lebanon. Lebanon does not have any air or train services to take you around the country since it is too small to have one. Thus the tourists use bus, trams, taxis and minibus to move from one place to other. There bus network is quite extensive, efficient and reasonably cheap. You can also hire a car to explore the country in more depth but it is a little expensive.

Best time to fly
Generally, summer is the best time to visit Lebanon as there is no trace of rain and flights function accordingly. The fare in Lebanon flights changes dynamically depending on demand and supply. If you want to book cheap flights to Lebanon than you are advised to book the Lebanon airline tickets well in advance (may be a month before).  The best time to take Lebanon flights is the 1st minute flight in the morning and the last minute flights to Lebanon at night. Generally during this time you can get cheap flights to Lebanon.  

Best time to travel
The best time to travel Lebanon is during spring (March - May) and autumn (September - November) season as the climate during this time is warm but not uncomfortable. Winter should be avoided as far as possible for sightseeing etc. because of the rain and clouds. Also snow, during this time, can make travelling difficult due to blockages on roads. In the off season (June to August) you will get cheap airline tickets to Lebanon.
